Abstract

Increasing motivation to learn science material vegetative propagation of plants through the application of experimental methods. Thesis: Elementary School Gru Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education College Kusuma Negara Jakarta, August 2020. This assessment is motivated by the fact that the low quality and motivation of student learning greatly affects student learning outcomes, especially in Natural Sciences subjects. This classroom action research aims to increase student learning motivation with the experimental method in Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects related to vegetative propagation of plants in grade VI SDIT Darunnajah Depok. The subjects in this study were students of class VI SDIT Darunnajah - Depok in the subject of Natural Sciences (IPA). The learning material used is the experimental method which is carried out in 3 cycles. The technique of collecting data is the observation technique. The data analysis technique was analyzed quantitatively by using the percentage formula. Based on the data on student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle, it is known that the percentage of student completeness is 19%, in cycle 1 the percentage of student completeness has increased to 52% and in cycle 2 the percentage of student completeness has experienced a better increase to 70%. The conclusion is that the assignment of the Experimental method can increase student motivation in Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects.
