Abstract

The results showed that in the first cycle of the three indicators of interest in learning had a significant increase after the use of the inquiry method. Attention in teaching and learning activities in cycle I, the average is 17.05 then increased in cycle II to 30.68 and in cycle III increased to 90.91. Participation in teaching and learning activities in cycle I was 1.51 then increased to 19.69 and increased again to 83.33 in cycle III. The feeling of being happy about teaching and learning activities in cycle I was 4.54 in cycle II increased to 24.24, then in cycle III it increased again to 89.39. The results of the Study Interest Questionnaire showed positive results. In the pre-cycle the interest in learning averaged only 52.68, then increased in the first cycle to 61.41, in the second cycle it increased to 67.64 and in the third cycle it increased again to 90.14. From the research results it can be concluded that the application of the Inquiry method can increase the interest in learning science class IV students at SDT YASPEN Tugu Ibu 2 Depok.
