Building Character in Early Children through School Culture (Study on Islam-Based Plosorejo Pkk Paud in Kediri District)

This research aims to: 1) describe the process of building character in early childhood through school culture in Islamic-based PAUD PKK PLOSOREJO in Kediri Regency. 2) Examining what factors support and hinder the process of building early childhood character through school culture in Islamic-based PAUD PKK PLOSOREJO in Kediri Regency. Primary informants are teachers at PAUD Melati Ceria in Kediri Regency, PAUD PKK Sambiroto in Kediri Regency. Data collection methods use observation and interviews with instruments in the form of observation guides and interview guides. Data analysis uses interactive model analysis. The implications of school culture are visible in the approach to students, classroom management, social interactions at school, implementation of school rules/conduct and the relationship between the school and parents. The approach used in character education in PAUD is Behavior Action. Supporting factors for building early childhood character in PAUD are the vision, mission, already filled with character, teacher teaching experience of more than 10 years, there is a good relationship between the school and parents. The inhibiting factor in building early childhood character in PAUD is the limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as children's play media.
